Memorial Day

Today was a great day. Jason and I got up early this morning to go and get flowers for all of the graves we wanted to visit. We first headed to my paternal grandparent's graves. As erie as grave yards can be it's amazing how peaceful they can feel when you are visiting a loved one. It's hard seeing their names on the tombstones. You just wish so badly that they were here with you. But at least we know they are near and we will see them soon. After we visited my grandparent's graves Jason went golfing with his dad and brother in law. Then we all met up to go and see Kung Fu Panda 2 (very cute fyi). Once the movie got out we headed to Clay's grave. Jason came up with the idea of making Clay his very own Dundie Award. Since Clay was a huge office fan it felt like the perfect thing to put on his grave. We came up with the award of "Most Missed Person." Clay is loved and missed by MANY.  He left a great impression on everyone he met. Clay's contagious smile is never forgotten. His grave site is beautiful and peaceful. It's hard to see sometimes because he should still be here with us. We love and miss him every day and can't wait to be with him again. It was neat to go as a family to his grave. While we were visiting Clay's grave we met Elder Scott. He was with some friends who helped him bring flowers to his sweet wife's grave. We had no idea we were so close to her grave. He was such a kind man to us and even talked with our cute nieces. It was a neat moment to be meeting him. We all felt so lucky to be meeting him and are grateful for that experience. Following Clay's grave we visited Dave's father's grave. Then we headed back home for a BBQ. It was a good memorial day. Although it is very hard to loose loved ones, it's nice to have a day off of work dedicated to remembering them. Jason and I enjoyed our day together. We thought a lot about family and we enjoyed growing closer to each other and our families. We have been VERY blessed with both of our families. We have great examples to follow in our lives and we are so grateful for everything they do for us.

We miss and love you Clayton

A couple of weeks ago we had to put down our sweet little Sadie girl. She was my family's first dog and we loved her dearly. It's amazing how attached you can become to animals. It was so hard for our family to let her go. We miss her very much! Love you sadie little lady!

My parents just got this little guy. Sadie left a big hole in our family so we thought a puppy could help fill that void. This is Bridger. Hopefully he will be great to my parents like Sadie was. ;)

Mazatlan, Mexico

On May 16th we headed to Mazatlan, Mexico with the Hanks family. We have been looking forward to this trip for a long time. We always have so much fun in Mexico especially with the Hanks'.
The view outside our room. After being stuck in the cold weather of Utah, this was a great site to see!
Some boogie boarding fun.

Hanging by the pool
Korby arranged for us to have our very own private fiesta. She had it all planned out and even got a pinata for the kids. It was so sweet of her and we loved spending our last night this way.

We had a blast in Mexico and being with our family. We are sad that it went by so fast but we enjoyed every minute. Thank you Korby and Dave for taking us. We love you guys!

New Favorite Holiday!....

So it turns out that this week is teacher appreciation week! Today a couple of my kids surprised me at work with gifts. It was so sweet of them and it's nice to feel appreciated ;) I admit, I am stoked on this holiday!

New (small) Addition...

Meet Maximus! We recently got this little guy and no he is not a Chihuahua. He will get bigger, I promise. He has been so fun and we are excited to have him around.

Honeymoonin in the D.R!

We were able to visit Dominican Republic for our honeymoon. All inclusive= endless pina coladas, ice cream, guacamole, food when ever you want! Doesn't get much better than that! We had a blast together and enjoyed our first adventure as a married couple.

A Little Look into Our Wedding Day...

80 degrees in October...not too bad! This was the best day of our lives. We couldn't have asked for a better day. Being sealed together is the best feeling and we love knowing that it is a "forever" thing.

New Blog!

After months of attempting to make a blog I have finally done it. Since Jason and I were recently married I thought this would be a fresh start to journaling our new life together. They'll be so many new memories that we are going to make and I don't want to miss a thing. Time is already flying!
