Memorial Day

Today was a great day. Jason and I got up early this morning to go and get flowers for all of the graves we wanted to visit. We first headed to my paternal grandparent's graves. As erie as grave yards can be it's amazing how peaceful they can feel when you are visiting a loved one. It's hard seeing their names on the tombstones. You just wish so badly that they were here with you. But at least we know they are near and we will see them soon. After we visited my grandparent's graves Jason went golfing with his dad and brother in law. Then we all met up to go and see Kung Fu Panda 2 (very cute fyi). Once the movie got out we headed to Clay's grave. Jason came up with the idea of making Clay his very own Dundie Award. Since Clay was a huge office fan it felt like the perfect thing to put on his grave. We came up with the award of "Most Missed Person." Clay is loved and missed by MANY.  He left a great impression on everyone he met. Clay's contagious smile is never forgotten. His grave site is beautiful and peaceful. It's hard to see sometimes because he should still be here with us. We love and miss him every day and can't wait to be with him again. It was neat to go as a family to his grave. While we were visiting Clay's grave we met Elder Scott. He was with some friends who helped him bring flowers to his sweet wife's grave. We had no idea we were so close to her grave. He was such a kind man to us and even talked with our cute nieces. It was a neat moment to be meeting him. We all felt so lucky to be meeting him and are grateful for that experience. Following Clay's grave we visited Dave's father's grave. Then we headed back home for a BBQ. It was a good memorial day. Although it is very hard to loose loved ones, it's nice to have a day off of work dedicated to remembering them. Jason and I enjoyed our day together. We thought a lot about family and we enjoyed growing closer to each other and our families. We have been VERY blessed with both of our families. We have great examples to follow in our lives and we are so grateful for everything they do for us.

We miss and love you Clayton

A couple of weeks ago we had to put down our sweet little Sadie girl. She was my family's first dog and we loved her dearly. It's amazing how attached you can become to animals. It was so hard for our family to let her go. We miss her very much! Love you sadie little lady!

My parents just got this little guy. Sadie left a big hole in our family so we thought a puppy could help fill that void. This is Bridger. Hopefully he will be great to my parents like Sadie was. ;)
