Girl Time

I was very fortunate to have such great friends growing up. We had a group of 8 girls that were inseparable. 6 of us now are married, one lives in DC, and soon one is moving to Florida. Our schedules rarely match up these days so when we can get at least 4 of us together at once it's a big deal. This past weekend was conference which meant that on Saturday night it was priesthood for all the guys. So my friends Michelle, Vanessa, and Liz were able to get together for some quality girl time. We started the night with dinner at Citris Grill then headed to Menchie's for some yummy frozen yogurt. The rest of the evening consisted of some great catch up convos. My friends are some great girls and I'm lucky to have them!

Ski Day!

My friend Vanessa and I used to go skiing at least once a week in high school. I loved every bit of it. After high school, season passes just got more and more expensive and my schedule got busier and busier. So I haven't been able to go skiing for quite a while. I was given a ski pass this year and I haven't been able to use it until today! It was so nice to get on the slopes again. I forgot how much fun it is! My best friend, Vanessa, was able to come with me. She is moving to Florida in May so we are trying to get as much time together as possible. We had such a blast skiing together just like old times. It was a gorgeous day on the slopes, we couldn't have asked for better weather!

Thanks for joining me on the slopes today!

Spring Break!

Jason's Spring Break was this past week and instead of sitting at home we wanted to get out of town for a little bit. Our good friends Trevor and McKell (soon to be the Robinson's) joined us and we headed to St.George. We left last Wednesday night and stayed until yesterday (Sunday). We had a blast! The weather was so nice and warm and we did a lot of playing and relaxing. Our weekend consisted of couples raquet ball, yoga, basketball, running, shopping, Thai food, ice cream, games, movies and much more!

Then on Friday we decided to head to Las Vegas for some fun and a change of scenery. We did some shopping right when we got there then we headed to the Bodies exhibit at the Luxor hotel. It was so neat to see and something I have always wanted to do. Then we headed to a little cafe for some dinner. While walking the strip after eating we had to stop at Serendipity for some frozen hot chocolate. They had a walk-up window so we could get our treat to go. ;) We finished the night walking the streets sipping on the amazing frozen hot chocolate.

As you know Vegas attracts a wide variety of people. We made a game out of people watching. By the end of the night we wanted to see who could point out the most bizarre individual haha (slightly mean i know). There were way to many to choose from but I did get some pics of our top contenders....

We can't wait to get out of town again! We had a blast. Thanks for joining us McKell and Trevor!

Oh Maximus...

Oh Max, he is quite the funny little guy! On January 26th he turned one years old! We're so proud haha.

Here's the Birthday Boy!

Since Max's birthday he has started a new thing. First of all Max LOVES toys, treats, and especially chewy bones. But we don't allow these chewy bones on our bed because that is gross haha. So on the night of his birthday he tried several times to bring his bone onto our bed. We kept saying no and throwing it back onto the ground. He kept trying to bring it on until he finally got frustrated and wanted us to stop taking it from him. I heared some rustling coming from our closet...Max was trying to hide his bone from us. He put it on the ground, slid it against the wall with his nose then looked around for something to cover it. He spotted my shirt, lifted it up with his nose and set it on top of his bone. Max then began to pat it down with his paws and nose. It was pretty funny to watch. Once it was covered he would continually check on it and recover it until he was satisfied with its hiding place. It was so smart of him! We thought it was funny and pulled it out which upset him, he even cried and ran around scared with the bone in his mouth. He was frantic to find a new hiding place that we wouldn't see.  Well this has started a series of bone hiding around our house. We always find his little bone hidden in the funniest places. He gets more and more clever about it everyday too! I've stopped taking pictures because when I do he sees and it makes him sad and he re-hides it haha. Max is such a funny little guy! Jason and I don't have children yet so Max had been our entertainment haha. He's such a sweet little dog and we love having him around ;)

The bone is frequently hidden in our laundry...
Behind my nightstand...
He was tired and frustrated from hiding his bone so much so he decided to take a nap with it so I wouldn't take it...
Under my nightstand next to my people magazines....(I have a lot of catching up to do haha)
 With Jason's shoes...

Recently Max has started to find more places to hide the bone. The most recent places have been behind the TV, in the drapes, behind a back pack, behind a shoe basket, in the laundry basket, and in our closet. Who knows where it will be tonight. He likes to hide it before we go to bed. You know just in case Jason or I need a good chew before bed!

Oh and last Friday I got to spend all day with this cute girl...

We had a fun day just the two of us. I don't know if you can get much cuter than this!

Brian Regan

Yup we went to Brian Regan's show last night!! We are HUGE fans of his! I've been to his past three shows when he's come to Utah. Finally Jason was here when he was in town. We were going to by tickets as soon as they went on sale but my mom beat us to it and gave them to us for Christmas. (Thanks Mom and Dad!) We were on the THIRD row! It was awesome! Brian Regan is so funny and we had a great time! The Hanks' side of the family was able to come too! We all can't get enough of his jokes! ;)

We took a few pictures while we were waiting for the show to start...Jason's eyes are barely open in one...ha

Happy Birthday Mom!

On January 16th it was my mom's birthday. My dad and I wanted to plan something special for her so we decided to do a surprise dinner with our family and a couple friends. The plans didn't go quite as planned....my mom arrived early and we were the ones surprised to see her sitting at the table instead haha oh well. She loved it and had a great time and thought it was really funny to see all of our faces as we walked in. My mom is one of the most amazing, caring, and sweet people I know. I look up to her very much. I hope you had a great birthday mom! Love you!

Happy New Years!

We had a blast this New Years. It was so great to spend time with all of our friends! First we went to dinner at Zupas, always yummy and no wait! Then we headed to Jason's parent's house for some games and treats. The majority of the night was spent playing Just Dance on our friend's kinnect, pretty sweet. It was so fun to watch everyone dance and be goofy. This New Year's party was a great one!

 The Gang

We can't believe 2012 is already here! Jason and I took the opportunity to sit down and think of some great new goals and things we want to accomplish in 2012. I can't wait to begin on our list! I love starting a new year. A fresh slate always feels good ;)

"If it didn’t Bring you Joy, Just Leave it Behind. Let’s Ring in the New Year With Good Things in Mind. Let Every Bad Memory Go That Brought Heartache and Pain. And let’s Turn a New Leaf With the Smell of New Rain. Let’s Forget Past Mistakes Making Amends for This Year. Sending You These Greetings To Bring you Hope and Cheer!                     Happy New Year!"
